Hi, I’m Allegra and I am very excited to be the Senior Director of Programming & Innovation on the farm. I started my professional career as an outdoor and garden educator, leading hiking and climbing adventures, before transitioning to classrooms that had more walls and fewer bears. I come to Urban Adamah from UC Berkeley where, among other things, I taught a graduate course on Teaching, Learning, and Equity. I have been a friend of Urban Adamah since it began and have been known to turn the music up in the greenhouse, come in on weekends to cover chores, and help look after sick or small goats. When I am not at the farm, I am parenting two quarantennials, in the dojo practicing aikido, reading, learning, or cooking food I grew in my front yard.
