A $9 Million Phase III Capital Campaign
Urban Adamah is in the third and final stage of developing the farm campus on Sixth Street in West Berkeley. In March 2018, we launched a $9 million Phase III capital campaign to complete the campus, setting the stage for magnified impact and growth for decades to come. We need your partnership to fully realize our vision for a vibrant urban farm-based Jewish education center that engages tens of thousands of individuals each year in experiences that open the heart, uplift the spirit, and build community.

Phase III Primary Components
Retreat Lodge
A 54-bed lodge that serves Bay Area youth and young adults through overnight programs. It also provides a unique venue for school groups, synagogues, and others seeking a place for their own retreats. Guests have full access to all that Urban Adamah has to offer including our educational farm, a restored creek, a variety of indoor and outdoor program spaces, and our renowned Jewish environmental educator team.

Barn & Craft Center
A two-story structure that serves as a “messy” program space – paint, carpentry, ceramics, etc. for kids and adults of all ages – as well as houses offices for our site maintenance and farm staff.

Community Hall
A 2,400 sq. ft. structure that replaced our central gathering tents. It is our largest indoor program space, with seating for over 200. Holiday programs, Shabbat services, workshops, trainings, and simchas (“celebrations”) of all kinds bring it to life.

Landscape & Enhancements
Many small outdoors spaces throughout the farm support gathering, growing, and learning.
