COVID-19 Policy

Urban Adamah’s COVID-19 plan is aligned with the CDC and Alameda County Public Health Department.

Our response to COVID-19 shifts depending on the current COVID-19 hospital admission level. When this levels is high, our policies are more restrictive in order to better protect our community. Visit COVID Act Now to see what the current level is in Alameda County.

Depending on the most recent recommendations from the CDC and Alameda county, our COVID-19 policies are subject to change.

EVENTS & RETREATS

Our policy depends on the COVID-19 hospital admission level in Alameda County:

  • Low & medium: masks are not required indoors
  • High: masks are required indoors

Each event’s policy will be shared on the event page of the website. Please note, depending on the event, facilitators, and most recent recommendations from the CDC and Alameda county,  this policy is subject to change. If you have questions about a specific event, please reach out to our Events & Retreats team at events@urbanadamah.org.

YOUNG ADULT PROGRAMS

The following are our general COVID-19 policies for young adult programs. Due to the extended nature of these programs participants will receive more specific details via email before they arrive on the farm.

All participants must be vaccinated for COVID-19 and have the most current booster available to them. The remainder of our policy depends on the nature of the program and COVID-19 hospital admission levels (low, medium, or high):

  • Low & Medium: Masks are generally not required, but may be depending on guest educator requests.
  • High: Participants will form a pod, which means that when offsite, participants will wear masks indoors with more than 5 people and in large public spaces.

Participants in the Residency Program develop their own protocol as a cohort within their home, but must follow Urban Adamah’s general protocols when in other spaces and participating in programs on the farm.

If you have questions, please reach out to our Young Adult Programs team at fellowship@urbanadamah.org.

YOUTH PROGRAMS & CAMPS

All eligible campers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least two weeks prior to the start of camp. All campers must have received a booster in addition to initial vaccination. All camp staff are required to be fully vaccinated with a booster shot.

Our masking policy depends on COVID-19 hospital admission levels:

  • Low & Medium: Campers and staff will not be required to wear masks.
  • High: Campers and staff will be required to wear masks at all times.

We clean bathrooms regularly, offer individual places to store camper belongings, require plenty of hand sanitizer, and hand washing. We ask kiddos to bring all their own snacks and lunch for health and safety reasons.

If you have questions, please reach out to our Youth and Family Programs team at camp@urbanadamah.org.
