Jennifer Spitzer (formerly Gorovitz) is Vice President for Finance, Operations and Administration of the New Israel Fund (NIF), the leading organization committed to equality and democracy for all Israelis. Prior to her work with NIF, Jennifer was Counsel in estate planning and tax-exempt organizations with the national law firm of Manatt, Phelps and Phillips. Jennifer is a former CEO of the San Francisco-based Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund. She was the first woman CEO of a major North American Federation. During her nearly five years as CEO, Spitzer was recognized in The Jewish Daily Forward’s “Forward 50” list and was selected as one of the Bay Area’s “Most Influential Women” by the San Francisco Business Times.

In 2015, Spitzer was the recipient of special recognition by Death Penalty Focus for her pro bono efforts, and in 2014, was the recipient of the Landres Courage for Dignity Award by Keshet for her work as an ally of the LGBT Jewish community. She is an alumna of the Wexner Heritage Program.

Jennifer received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. from Stanford University.
