Hi. I’m Adam and I’m thrilled to serve as Urban Adamah’s new executive director, following eight years on Urban Adamah’s board of directors. I have a deep passion for Urban Adamah’s work at the intersection of Jewish tradition, mindfulness, social action, and sustainable agriculture, and am excited to bring and offer my experience in organizational and program development and leadership to the Urban Adamah community. Most recently, I served for just shy of eight years as director of the Diller Teen Initiatives, and before that as Executive Director of Camp Tawonga and Berkeley Hillel. I was also one of the early directors of the Teva Learning Center, which makes coming to Urban Adamah feel like coming home. I’ve also worked in a variety of roles in the Jewish community in New York, Israel, and Bulgaria and have served as a coach and mentor for fellow professionals through The Wexner Foundation, Repair the World, Hillel, the iCenter, BBYO, and the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Philanthropic Network. I spent my time in college and grad school studying English, Social Work, and Jewish Studies, each of which has become a gift I try to remember to unwrap each day.
