WHY JOIN THE FARM STAY PROGRAM?
COMMUNITY LIVING
Apply alone and be matched with a flatmate or apply with friends in a double or triple occupancy arrangement. Once a month, farm stay participants will gather for a self-organized Shabbat, fostering deeper connections and shared experiences.
JEWISH LIVING
To ensure a vibrant, engaged community of peers focused on mutual growth and support, participants must be between 21-35 years old, current students, or working at or volunteering at a Jewish organization.
SUSTAINABLE LIVING
Our modern, partially-furnished apartments—including one ADA accessible unit—are powered by solar energy and connected to a greywater system that irrigates our fruit trees and perennial crops. Build off of this foundation to explore what sustainable living commitments align best with your practices and values.
INTERACTIVE LIVING
When your home is situated within an active urban farm and community center, your backyard is a hub for a variety of eco-spiritual programs and activities. Farm stay participants are encouraged to attend our community events at free or subsidized rates and can even pick up paid hourly gig work if they’d like to take a more active role.
