Shabbat Shalommm ૐ: Free Shabbat Morning Yoga

Wake up. Rest. Flow. Join current Urban Adamah Fellow Ilana Schlesinger in this special Shabbat morning yoga class. Greet the day of rest by setting intentions, being in your body and feeling the weight of the world fall away. We’ll downward dog, cat-cow and tree pose amongst the blooming perennials, clucking chickens, and happy swiss chard.

All ages and levels are welcome for this vinyasa flow class, no prior yoga experience necessary.

Urban Adamah has limited yoga mats available for use. Please bring your own mat if you have one.

Accessibility Notes: This event will be held on our ADA accessible turf or yurt depending on weather and preference of yogis. We have one accessible parking spot in our lot, however please leave time to find street parking if needed, as our lot fills up quickly. If you anticipate needing special assistance, please email zoe@urbanadamah.org. We would be happy to assist you. FM receivers are available for those hard of hearing.


About the Instructor: Ilana Schlesinger

Currently an Urban Adamah Summer 2018 Fellow, Ilana is a Boston-based mental health counselor and yoga teacher who loves to interweave the two to support others in increasing self-compassion and self-love. Ilana received her 200 hour RYT certificate from Corepower Yoga in Cambridge, MA and has done yoga for mental health, emotional support, depression and anxiety trainings. Her yoga classes are filled with breath, relaxation and Bon Iver. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her flea-ridden kitten, enjoying nature, exploring with friends, reading and making banana bread as much as possible. When not prepping beds on the Urban Adamah farm, Ilana teaches vinyasa yoga at Boston University’s fitness center, yoga for mental health at Simmons College and yoga for women at Healthworks Gym.
