Celebrating Maya Raviv’s new album ECHAD

An evening of inspiration and hope, featuring composer Maya Raviv’s award-winning piece ECHAD, a shared Jewish-Muslim prayer and tribal celebration for two solo voices, choir and chamber orchestra, which premiered at Lincoln Center in New York. The celebration will include a live recording of the soaring 15-minute premiere, and Maya will lead a participatory discussion on Tikkun Olam and our power to initiate change through our individual paths.

Maya combines universal themes from Jewish tradition with the healing power of music to connect to the larger human experience. Born and raised in the Middle East and educated in the US, Maya has performed for Iraqi refugees in Jordan, Holocaust survivors in Oklahoma; in New York at Lincoln Center and the United Nations Headquarters; and in kindergartens, nursing homes, hospitals, synagogues and churches all across America.
