A Mystical Passover Seder

Searching for a Passover seder that is celebratory, delicious, and engages with personal and social liberation? This year, Urban Adamah invites you to a seder filled to the brim with community, organic food, song, and a mystical exploration of what allows us to be free. In lieu of the traditional Haggadah, we will draw on Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism) to offer a contemporary and contemplative exploration of the inter-generational Jewish struggle for personal and collective liberation.

Tickets Available Until Sold Out

This seder will sell out, so buy tickets now. 21+ only. All food will be kosher for Passover and vegetarian.

In an effort to make this event accessible to as many people as possible, tickets are on a sliding scale, $36 to $72. There are a limited number of avodah (work-trade) tickets available. To apply for an avodah ticket, please email ari@urbanadamah.org.

Accessibility Notes

The seder will be held in our ADA accessible tent. We will have a section in the tent for wheelchair seating only. Please reach out to emily@urbanadamah.org for any specific questions or requests.

About the facilitators:

Yosef Rosen is a teacher of Jewish creativity and a DJ of contemplative dance. His classes and workshops weave together the imaginative and social dimensions of Jewish creative genres—Kabbalah, Talmud, philosophy, and poetry—as an invitation for participants to discover their own genre of Jewish creativity. He has a PhD in Jewish Studies from UC Berkeley, where he completed a dissertation on models of spiritual community as found in the Zohar. Before moving to the Bay eight years ago, Yosef spent many years in Jewish seminaries in both Israel and America.

Hadar Cohen is a ritual leader and devout feminist. She is a student in divinity school at alt*div, a Jewish educator with Moishe House and a community facilitator. She cares deeply about the intersection of justice and spirituality. She is an alumna of Urban Adamah and sits on the Shechinah Counsel at At The Well.
