A Simchat Torah Bash w. Kehilla Community Synagogue & Chochmat HaLev

Monday, October 17, 2022
5:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Join Urban Adamah, Kehilla Community SynagogueChochmat HaLev, and friends for another year of  joyous and multi-generational celebration of Torah! Thanks to our lively Simchat Torah Community Klezmer band, this event will be an enthusiastic ending to the High Holy Days.

Tots and their families kick off the night at 5:30 PM with a magical, musical puppet show.

Program will continue with joyous services at 6:30 PM as we throw our hands up to the sky, kick up our feet, and shake off the last morsels of 5781.

Simchat Torah Klezmer Band
Our Simchat Torah band is led by the indomitable Mike Perlmutter, and features Jeanette Lewicki on accordion, Ivan Velev on tapan and a rocking group of trumpet, clarinet, flute, baritone horn and accordion players from Kehilla and Chochmat Halev. Special thanks to our cosponsors Aquarian Minyan and Beyt Tikkun.

Tot Simchat Torah
Puppetry is a powerful tool for entertaining and educating, and puppets take children and adults into a magical realm of wonder and joy. Join Jen Miriam Altman, Alon Altman, Raizel the Camel, and Raizel’s puppet friends for a half-hour Simchat Torah service geared towards tots. The service includes singalongs with guitar, drums, and other instruments; puppets; and dancing with scarves. This is a great way to introduce young children to Simchat Torah!

No One Will Be Turned Away For Lack Of Funds
Urban Adamah, Kehilla and Chochmat Halev strive to offer programming that is accessible to our community. Thanks to our program supporters, we are able to offer this series for a sliding scale. If you are able to register at the higher end, your contribution will directly support the financial accessibility of another participant.

Please maintain at least 6 feet between yourself and another guest when your mask is off. Health and safety protocols are subject to change based on city and county COVID guidelines as well as air quality levels.
