Daily Schedule

7:00  Avodat Lev (Service of the Heart)
Held in the living room of Beit Adamah (the fellows residence). Lead by Urban Adamah faculty, guest facilitators, or fellows.

8:00  Breakfast and Chores
Chores include house maintenance (food ordering, cleaning, etc) and regular agricultural responsibilities (i.e. chicken care, composting, etc.)

9:00  Avodat Sadeh (Service of the Field)/ Avodat Kehila (Service to Community)
Our work day begins together at the Adamah Farm. On some days, student or community groups will join the fellows on the farm for work and learning sessions.

12:30 Lunch and Break

2:00  Avodat Sadeh/Avodat Kehilah
Fellows will generally break into smaller groups during the afternoon. Some will stay at the farm to work or teach visiting children (as part of Camp Urban Adamah in the summer or as part of our Urban Adamah Hebrew school program in the fall.) Others might join one of our community partner organizations on an urban sustainability project like solar panel or permaculture garden installation in low-income homes. On some days, fellows will spend the afternoon on organized tours of other local farms and other urban sustainability projects.

5:30  Break and Dinner
Dinners are prepared by fellows and shared communally.

7:30 Evening Limmud (Learning Session) or Community Meeting

Tuesday: 7:00 am – 5:30 pm
Wednesday: 7:00 am – 5:30 pm
Thursday: 7:00 am – 9:00 pm
Friday: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
Shabbat: Day Off
