Wick Bed Garden WorkshopDate & Time
January 5, 2014
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Start the new year with a new garden! And why not one that saves you time and water?
A wicking bed is a garden bed with a waterproof lining that holds a reservoir of water at the bottom from which water is drawn upwards—think large self-watering container.
These planters are a great addition to any garden space, and only require watering once every 1-2 weeks. They’re ideal for root veggies and herbs because they use capillary action to keep soil perfectly moist.
Come join us as we dive into the design principles of wick beds, and then construct our own to take home! For more information, email nathan(at)urbanadamah.org.
Cost: $25 includes all materials
Advance registration is required for this workshop so we can purchase sufficient materials ahead of time.
