Volunteer Work Party

Date & Time
November 17, 2013
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Our farm in West Berkeley relies on volunteers to help us grow the thousands of pounds of produce we harvest every year and donate through our Free Farm Stand and area food banks.

Once a month during the growing season, we hold volunteer parties on Sunday afternoons. Work parties are open to all individuals ages 12 and older (children 12 and up must be accompanied by an adult), and are a fun way to make a real difference on our farm. Projects include weeding, planting, harvesting, moving soil, mulching, watering, chicken and goat care.

No experience necessary! Just bring your fun-loving attitude and we’ll train you on the rest. Remember to dress for the outdoors with appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes. We ask volunteers at our Sunday Work Parties to arrive at 2 p.m. and to plan on staying the entire afternoon.

Volunteer work parties are limited to 25 people. If you would like to bring a group of more than 7 people, please contact Farm Manager Rae Graber at rae(at)urbanadamah.org to inquire.

Please register so we can plan our projects in advance.

Like all events here on the farm, we ask that you bring a canned food item to donate to our food bank. Thanks for your support!
